In this film, I investigate reports that Russian forces may be launching drones from the area of the nuclear plant itself. If true, it would mark a terrifying new escalation: explosive drones operating around Europe’s biggest nuclear power plant.

The plant is already under occupation. The Kakhovka dam has been destroyed. The reservoir that once helped cool the reactors is gone. Workers have been pressured, threatened or forced out. The risks are growing, and the world is still not paying enough attention.

I speak to the mayor of Nikopol, the mayor of occupied Enerhodar, local residents, evacuation teams, police, soldiers and nuclear experts to understand what is happening, and what could happen next.

This year, the headlines around the Venice Biennale have been non-stop.

The world’s most prestigious art festival has been wrapped in scandal because the Russians are back. So I decided to go there myself and find out why.

This came just after my trip to Hungary, where I investigated what Viktor Orbán is doing, and then from Hungary to Nikopol, right across from the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant. Now from Nikopol to Venice.

Slowly, Russians are being invited back into polite society through operas, Oscars, film festivals, and now art festivals. And when I searched for serious investigations into how this is happening and why the Russians are back at the Biennale, I could barely find any.

The president of the Biennale has been avoiding questions. The Russian delegation has been avoiding questions. So I wanted to ask them myself and try to find answers.

I’ve been reporting from Kherson since February 2023.

I was there soon after the city was first liberated. Back then, the threat felt distant. Russian forces had retreated across the river, blowing the bridges behind them. There was destruction, but there was also relief. People were coming back. Life was trying to restart.

Over the past three years, I’ve watched that change.

Kherson has become something else entirely. A city under constant pressure. A city where the front line isn’t visible, but it’s everywhere.

This trip was different.

I was given rare access to the 34th Marine Brigade operating in Antonivka, one of the most dangerous areas in Kherson, right on the edge of the river, just hundreds of meters from Russian positions. I joined them on patrol as they hunted drones.

At the same time, I spent days moving through the city, documenting what daily life looks like now under relentless bombardment.

The scale has changed dramatically.

Last year, at the peak, Kherson saw around 330 attacks in a single day. Just days ago, that number exceeded 600 in 24 hours. The intensity has doubled. The tactics have evolved. New types of drones, faster strikes, constant surveillance from above.

And yet, there is almost no international coverage of what is happening here.

This film is an attempt to show that reality as honestly and as closely as possible.

The Shadow Fleet has been the lifeblood of Russia’s war machine since 2022.

Billions of dollars’ worth of oil have been transported across the planet in ageing, opaque tankers, operating in the shadows and largely uninterrupted. Until now.

This week, the United States seized Russian-linked vessels. Ukraine has begun striking shadow-fleet tankers with domestically produced drones. For the first time since the full-scale invasion, Russia’s maritime war economy is facing direct, sustained pressure.

If these actions continue into 2026, Russia could lose its ability to operate the Shadow Fleet altogether. And if that happens, the financial foundation of Putin’s war collapses with it.

In this documentary, I investigate how the Shadow Fleet works, why it was allowed to grow so large, and why the response from the West came so late. I travel to the Aegean Islands to document sanctioned Russian tankers operating just kilometres from European shores, and examine how these vessels fund a war being fought in Europe.

I also look back at the history of Russia’s use of civilian cargo ships for military purposes, from the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962, to the Soviet war in Afghanistan, and later to Syria, where cargo vessels supplied the Assad regime through the port of Tartus.

The film includes interviews with Bill Browder, one of the leading experts on sanctions and Russian financial networks, as well as senior European officials and investigative journalists who have spent years tracking the Shadow Fleet’s operations.

I’ve been visiting the Donbas since January 2023 and this trip was different. The front line is shifting faster than at any point in the last two years. In November, Russia took more ground in Ukraine than at any time since 2022, so I went back to see what was really happening.

Pokrovsk is surrounded. Seversk is being invaded. Konstantinivka is under assault. Druzhkivka is being bombarded. Kramatorsk is taking more hits than usual. The whole region feels more volatile than ever.

The soldiers in this film have been fighting across all of these fronts for over a year. I wanted to hear what they think comes next. And to understand the full picture, I also spoke to civilians and volunteers about what’s happening beyond the battlefield and what’s at stake for the Donbas right now.

After I heard the news about Oleskander Gordienko being murdered last month, I decided to head to the farmlands he lived in to make a film about his legacy. He was a local legend and the Russians killed him to make a point. To try and silence powerful voices like his in Ukraine.

Most news coverage about Kherson focuses on the drone attacks against civilians in the city centre, so it felt really important to cover this in intimate detail. The farmers in this region have been through intense nightmares. First, the occupation, then the mining, then the drought and now FPVs.

So Russian fighter jets violated Estonia’s airspace this week for 12 minutes, and Estonia seems to be one of the only countries in Europe taking the Russian threat seriously. Recently I went to Estonia to interview volunteers, drone units, and civilians to find out how they’re preparing for Russia’s new front line.

Putin has openly said he wants the Baltics. His propagandists have said the same. So now Estonia is digging trenches, fortifying its border, closing bridges, and mobilizing its population, ready for the worst case scenario.

I went back to the Donbas after I heard things on the front lines in Ukraine were changing quickly. I stayed with my friend April and got an update on what is happening. During the trip I spoke to soldiers in training, as well as units and commanders involved in the fighting against the new Russian assault in Dobrobylia. I also documented the resilience of Ukrainians who continue to fight.

This was filmed over two days as an independent reporter, with a focus on countering Russian disinformation and showing the reality on the front lines.

I’ve been going to Kherson for the past two and a half years since it was liberated, trying to show what’s really happening there. This time, things felt worse than ever. People are being hunted by these FPV drones—literally nowhere feels safe anymore. Even in the north of the city, where families moved to escape the worst of it, the drones keep coming.

MEP Fidias from Cyprus peddles Kremlin propaganda on the daily. As part of my ongoing investigation into his shilling of Putin’s war regime, I went from Ukraine to the European Parliament in Brussels to confront him. It was wild: The mask came off.

This week, I did something I’ve never done before—I stayed just 3 kilometers from Russian positions on the eastern front. What happened was fascinating. Killer drones overhead, the fastest driving I’ve ever done, and an intensity I can’t put into words.

Russian propaganda has tried to bury the truth about what happened in Suzha, Kursk. They claim Ukraine’s operation was a failure. They claim civilians were mistreated. They claim Ukraine bombed its own people. So I went to see it for myself🫡.

For years, survivors of Assad and Russia’s chemical attacks in Syria were silenced. Today, we uncovered shocking evidence that many of these witnesses were forcibly taken to Moscow and pressured to lie – part of an extensive cover-up by the Russian state.

Now, with Assad no longer in power, these survivors are free to speak. In this video, they reveal the horrific reality of the chemical attacks – scenes of unimaginable suffering, children foaming at the mouth, and entire families wiped out.

As someone living in Ukraine, I’ve witnessed Russia’s war crimes firsthand – from white phosphorus to targeted civilian attacks. The patterns of brutality are clear, stretching from Syria to Ukraine.

This story exposes the disinformation campaign that echoed globally, amplified by figures like Aaron Maté and platforms like RT. But the truth matters now more than ever.

Watch as the survivors share their experiences and shed light on the true scale of Russia’s actions – crimes that continue to affect lives across multiple continents.

I spent 48 hours in Kherson, a city in southern Ukraine under relentless siege from drones. Civilians are being targeted non-stop, and I went on the ground to uncover how and why this is happening. During my time there, I was chased and possibly tracked by drones—though it’s not fully confirmed. It seems that 4G and 5G towers along the south of the Dnipro River are being used to gather data from civilians’ phones, allowing Russian forces to track their IP addresses and geolocation. The only cover for civilians is the leaves on the trees, but with fall approaching, even that safety is fading.

This is my first self-funded documentary exploring the horrors happening in Kherson.
